For over 25 years, SMOTEC GmbH has been responsible for the planning and implementation of projects for the interdisciplinary design studio Heinrich Fiedeler Industrial Design, both in Germany and abroad.
The SMOTEC planning office specializes in the functional aspects of interior and exterior design. Lighting design, acoustic consulting, and ergonomics are the firm’s core competencies, along with sustainable design using recycled materials.
Efficiency and sustainability in planning and produc selection are key factors in the design concepts and, as a result, often in the planning outcomes that qualify for funding. Innovative solutions in the fields of interior design, interior architecture, brand and exhibition architecture, lighting design and the automotive industry can be implemented through custom solutions upon request.
We manage and support projects from the concept phase through visualizations to completion, in collaboration with clients, architects and all other trades. Our Wiesbaden office — equipped with a model and prototype workshop, 3D CAD and rendering workstations, and a photo and streaming studio — enables our team of architects, engineers, and planners to precisely bring design visions to life.
Close collaboration and ongoing dialogue with our clients are central to every project — from analysis through concept to successful implementation.
We manage projects from analysis and concept development through to implementation. We handle site surveys, preliminary design with visualizations, and detailed design; we oversee the bidding process and bid analysis, and monitor the budget. We identify the right solutions, manage the project, oversee production, and provide on- site construction supervision. We place great importance on taking a holistic view of a space’s function. By considering lighting and acoustics in spatial planning alongside all technical requirements, we create the perfect atmosphere.
